The founder of BF Signoretti, Bruno Fusato Signoretti, created the factory starting from the past but with a look to the future.

Bruno Signoretti represented the purest and most significant Venetian taste through his person and his work. A philosophy of life and a boundless love for the deep traditions of the Serenissima Republic, a culture born among the canals or emerging from the fog of the past as a dream. A tradition that develops in civilization and spreads emotions and culture all over the world.

Bruno Fusato "Signoretti" descended from one of the oldest and most prestigious families in Venice. From the fifteenth century it was composed of an unbroken lineage of gondoliers, called "Signoretti", because they were always kind to their affections and friendships, and they worked with dignified elegance and behavior. The traces of Fusato date back to 1447, when they followed the commander Bartolomeo Colleoni in Venice from Bergamo.

Traditional art of rowing, love for Venice and the reputation of the family have been handed down over the centuries. In more recent times the grandfather of Bruno Fusato (Vincenzo "Cencio" Signoretti) was chosen by the Kaiser for his travels around the lagoon and his father Luigi "Gigio Signoretti" was the official gondolier of Princess Margaret and Her Majesty Elizabeth II during their visits to Venice.

Bruno Fusato started the traditional craft of his ancestors from an early age and was soon known and appreciated as a point of reference in the tourism sector, demonstrating great skill in the business.

In 1986 Bruno Fusato bought a disused factory on the island of Murano, restructured it and started the activities of production, exhibition and sale of glass works of art, masterpieces crafted by the most famous custodians of this ancient art.
